The transfer of attacker Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart to BVB is actually just a formality. But there are complications during a routine examination
The planned transfer of Serhou Guirassy (28) within the Bundesliga from VfB Stuttgart to Borussia Dortmund has been delayed due to problems during the medical check. “During a medical examination of Serhou Guirassy, an injury was discovered that requires further clarification,” BVB announced. The transfer was actually only considered a formality; according to media reports, both sides have already agreed on a four-year contract that only needs to be signed
According to the “Bild” newspaper, Guirassy’s old injury has not fully healed. The striker suffered the injury while playing for the Guinean national team. BVB are therefore now seeking a second opinion from a specialist. Only after a second medical check will it be possible to finalize the transfer. According to “Bild”, however, the transfer is currently not in serious jeopardy.
Several media outlets have already reported that Guirassy has allegedly drawn on the exit clause anchored in his contract in Stuttgart amounting to 18 million euros. Dortmund had already announced the signing of Stuttgart’s current defensive boss Waldemar Anton on Monday.
