Promoted club steps on the gas and brings in the third new player

Alemannia Aachen has stepped on the gas in the Regionalliga, now the club is stepping on the gas in the transfer market.

As Alemannia Aachen had already been able to assume for weeks that the club would be playing in the 3rd division in the new season, the personnel planning could also be tackled early.

Therefore, just a few days after the perfect promotion in the Regionalliga West, the club has already signed its third new player. After the experienced attacker Charlison Benchop (Wuppertaler SV) and the 21-year-old left-back Felix Meyer (BFC Dynamo), the club also made its third new signing in the Regionalliga.

Another talented player was snapped up: 21-year-old central midfielder Soufiane El-Faouzi transferred to the Tivoli from Fortuna Düsseldorf’s U23 side. In the summer of 2020, the player trained in the youth ranks of Sportfreunde Siegen and joined SC Paderborn, where he played for the U19s in the A-Junior Bundesliga and the second team in the Oberliga Westfalen. As an 18-year-old, El-Faouzi was once in the matchday squad of the SCP professionals in the 2nd Bundesliga.

He then moved to Düsseldorf. To date, he has made 44 appearances for Fortuna’s U23s, scoring two goals and providing five assists

“I am convinced of the club and the environment that is offered here and I am looking forward to getting to know the fans here and playing in front of so many fans at the Tivoli. I’m simply keen to be part of Alemannia and give it my all here,” said the player, looking forward to his new role.

Sascha Eller, Managing Director and Sporting Director of Alemannia Aachen, emphasized with regard to the third addition: “We have been following Soufiane for some time and he was able to draw attention to himself in the match against us here at the Tivoli. He is a technically very accomplished engine in midfield, who has a lot of wit, but also an irrepressible fighting spirit on the pitch. “
