Public prosecutor investigates Eintracht president Fischer

President Peter Fischer of Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt is facing charges of acquiring and possessing cocaine.

The public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt initiated investigations against the 66-year-old as well as his wife and 25-year-old son. The authorities confirmed this to the SID on Monday, following earlier reports by HR and the Bild-Zeitung.

According to HR, Fischer’s younger son (13) had used cocaine at school with a friend, and the friend’s mother had informed the school and the police. Subsequently, Fischer’s flat was searched at the end of January and, according to the HR report, the investigators found cocaine residues on the bedside table of the Eintracht president
