As the club announced on Tuesday, the 25-year-old has passed away. “The club is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic event,” Regensburg said. No information was initially available on the background to the incident, as the “terrible news” was received on Tuesday.
“The Jahn family mourns with the bereaved and our thoughts are with Agyemang’s family, relatives, close friends and companions,” the club said in a statement: ”Because of the terrible situation and out of respect for his family, we ask that their privacy be respected.”
Diawusie has been playing for SSV Jahn since July, and last played in the match against 1860 Munich on November 4. He also used to play for the German under-21 team.
