TSV Havelse has presented its first winter signing. The 3rd division relegation candidate has signed a striker from the Ruhr region.
First new signing for the second half of the season: TSV Havelse has signed Christopher Schepp from regional league club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen.
Forecasting had already reported on Wednesday, shortly after Schepp’s contract in Oberhausen was terminated, that the striker had reached an agreement with TSV Havelse. This was confirmed on Thursday by the third division basement club. Schepp and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen – somehow it just wasn’t a good fit. The striker moved to RWO in the summer of 2025 as SV Meppen’s top scorer, but failed to score a single goal in 18 competitive games in the Kleeblatt jersey in the last six months. But in Havelse, those responsible are convinced of Schepp’s qualities. TSV sporting director Florian Riedel explains: “In recent seasons, Schepp has always been one of the most dangerous strikers in the Regionalliga Nord and has impressively demonstrated his qualities at both SV Meppen and BW Lohne. A total of 85 points in 139 games for BW Lohne, Arminia Bielefeld, SV Meppen, and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen speak for themselves. Christopher brings many qualities that will help our game: offensive flexibility, assertiveness, goal-scoring threat, and a strong presence in the penalty area. In addition, his mentality fits perfectly into our team and will further stimulate competition. He knows the team and the club from many direct duels and will therefore settle in quickly. We are very pleased that Scheppi will be hunting for goals for TSV until 2027.”
The center forward completed his soccer training at Blau-Weiß Lohne. As champion and top scorer of the Oberliga Niedersachsen, Schepp was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord with Lohne in 2022. This was followed in 2023 by a move to Arminia Bielefeld, from where the 25-year-old moved to SV Meppen twice. He quickly established himself as a dangerous striker in Emsland, winning the Krombacher Lower Saxony Cup in the 2023/2024 season and scoring more than 50 goals and assists in a total of 83 games in the Regionalliga Nord for Meppen and Lohne. Since the summer of 2025, Schepp has most recently been under contract with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the Regionalliga West. Schepp emphasizes: “I am very happy about my move to TSV Havelse. The discussions with the club officials and the coach were very positive from the start and gave me a good feeling. I am now looking forward to the second half of the season, in which I want to contribute to the team’s success.”
