Reus questionable – Haller to make competitive debut

Borussia Dortmund may have to do without Marco Reus as the Bundesliga season continues.

According to coach Edin Terzic, the captain was unable to train the entire week due to an illness. Also questionable for Sunday’s match (3.30pm/DAZN) against FC Augsburg are the slightly injured Emre Can, Anthony Modeste and Mahmoud Dahoud. According to Terzic, Thomas Meunier (torn muscle fibre) will “not be available to BVB in the next few weeks”.

Instead, Sebastien Haller will make his competitive debut. Terzic left it open whether the goal scorer, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer last summer, will start from the beginning or play the role of a wild card. “We hope that there will be magic moments with Seb as soon as possible,” said the BVB coach.

Terzic welcomes the imminent signing of Youssoufa Moukoko. “We are happy that there will be clarity in a timely manner. I am happy about every day I get to work with him. He always gives 100 per cent,” Terzic said of the young international.
