Head coach Marco Rose of RB Leipzig is apparently relaxed when looking back on his time at Dortmund.
“I don’t have the feeling that I was dismantled there,” said the 46-year-old football coach ahead of this Friday’s (8.30pm/DAZN) top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
“I think everyone has to judge it for themselves. My coaching team and I tried to push things, which I think we succeeded in doing,” Rose elaborated. “In the end, a few things fell into place so that I am no longer a coach, but here in Leipzig. Accordingly, I take the situation as it is.”
Rose’s anticipation of the reunion with old acquaintances is great. “After all, I’m an open person, I’ve made a lot of friends and I’ve also made a few phone calls this week,” he said, stressing, “I’m going there first and foremost to win a football match.” With an away win, fourth-placed Leipzig could move to within a point of second-placed BVB.
