The round of 16 in the DFB Cup will take place on December 2 and 3. There is good news for BVB and VfL Bochum fans who do not have a pay-TV subscription.
Three matches in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup will be broadcast live on free-to-air television. On Tuesday, December 2, at 9:00 p.m., ARD will show the match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
The following Wednesday at 6 p.m., ARD will also broadcast the match between VfL Bochum and defending champions VfB Stuttgart. This will be followed by FC Bayern Munich’s appearance at 1. FC Union Berlin (8:45 p.m.) on ZDF.
The other five round of 16 matches will be broadcast on the pay-TV channel Sky, as will all other matches. In the clash between the second division teams, 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be the visitors to Hertha BSC on Tuesday at 6 p.m. At the same time, FC St. Pauli will face Borussia Mönchengladbach. At 9:00 p.m., RB Leipzig will face 1. FC Magdeburg. On Wednesday, second division team SV Darmstadt 98 will visit SC Freiburg at 6:00 p.m. Later in the evening (8:45 p.m.), Hamburger SV will face Holstein Kiel in a northern derby.
To kick off the extensive soccer program, ARD will also broadcast the Women’s Nations League final second leg between Spain and Germany from Madrid on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. (kickoff at 6:30 p.m.). The first leg between national coach Christian Wück’s team and the world champions will take place on November 28 in Kaiserslautern.
