In the U19 Lower Rhine League, Rot-Weiss Essen make up a little ground on the leaders, who draw with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen.
In the U19 Lower Rhine League, Rot-Weiss Essen moved a little closer to the promotion spot. RWE won 3:1 at SC St. Tönis on Sunday and recorded their third win of the season in their fifth match. Ahmed Etri (30th), Mats Brune (56th) and Milot Ademi (89th) scored the goals for Rot-Weiss.
The A-Juniors thus move up to third place in the table. They are three points behind the leaders TSV Meerbusch. Spvg Schonnebeck is still in between.
The Essen team celebrated another offensive spectacle: the home match against Viktoria Buchholz ended 8:1. Arne Wessels was the top scorer with a three-goal haul in just five minutes (50th, 54th, 55th).
Spielvereinigung had, among others, defeated KFC Uerdingen 11:2 at the start of the season and, with 29 goals scored, has by far the best attack in the league.
Meanwhile, leaders TSV Meerbusch suffered their first loss of a point. The home match against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen ended 1-1. RWO took an early lead (9th). After a sending-off against the visitors (57th), Meerbusch equalised in the final phase (82nd) and therefore remain the only unbeaten team in the league.
At the other end of the table, KFC Uerdingen took their first points. After a dismal start with four defeats, the Krefelders won 1:0 against SG Schönebeck.
Abdulhadi Alamad (69th) was the only goal scorer of the day. However, this was not more than a small relief for KFC. Due to the worse goal difference, Uerdingen remain in last place in the table. Arminia Klosterhardt and VfL Rhede, who met in a direct duel, are tied for the top spot – with the better end for Rhede (1:0).
