B-league side TB Oberhausen were looking forward to the test against RWO. In the end, the game would not end, in which the Kreisliga team was taken apart by every trick in the book.
Rot-Weiß Oberhausen presented themselves in a scoring mood in their first test match double pack this weekend. After the 8:0 at the district league team SW Alstaden, the B-league team TB Oberhausen scored 20:0 (6:0).
After just 30 minutes, the B-league club’s keeper had to make six saves. Leon Kayser, Moritz Stoppelkamp, Cottrell Ezekwem (2), Pierre Fassnacht and Luca Thissen scored for the Cloverleafs in the first half.
There were numerous changes for Oberhausen after the break. And the next goals came straight away. First it was a brace from new signing Luca Schlax, then Denis Donkor made it 9:0. Cankoray Mutlu was responsible for the 10:0, Timur Kesim made it 11:0 – while the hosts continued to wait for their first shot on goal. Mutlu then completed the dozen again.
And the fourth-division side showed their opponents no mercy after that either. Mutlu added two more goals, then it was Ozan Hot who made it 15:0. It continued at minute intervals, first Ilias El-Amrani made it 16:0, then Donkor increased the score to 17:0 against the hosts who had no chance. And in the last three minutes there were also three more goals by El-Amrani, Timo Böhm and Kesim, so that the Kreisliga team had to digest a 0:20 at the end.
The next game for RWO and coach Sebastian Gunkel is on Tuesday (6 p.m.), when SC Verl, a third division team, awaits the Oberhausen side. A somewhat bigger test than the two city rivals this weekend.
Preußen Münster already back in form
After RWO, Preußen Münster, who have been promoted to the second division, have also tested. Coach Sascha Hildmann’s team won 4:0 (2:0) against Westfalen-Oberliga side 1. FC Gievenbeck (fifth last season).
The first two goals came shortly before the break. Firstly, new signing Joshua Mees, who joined SCP from Holstein Kiel, scored. Marc Lorenz then scored at the break. Münster made one change after the break and Joel Grodowski made it 3:0.
Then it was the turn of another new signing. Charalambos Makridis, who had signed from VfL Osnabrück, scored to make it 4-0 – which was also the final score.
Preußen Münster continue their campaign on Wednesday (July 3, 18:30) against Kickers Emden (played at TSV Handorf).
