Two members of the supervisory board will be elected at the general meeting of Schalke 04. Only two old acquaintances are admitted.
When the general meeting of FC Schalke 04 takes place on 17 June, two members of the supervisory board will also be elected. The mandates of Axel Hefer (chairman of the board) and Holger Brauner expire this summer – and both are up for election again. The election committee has approved the candidacies of Hefer and Brauner, as the Gelsenkirchen-based company announced on Monday afternoon.
There are no other candidates for the two places on the Schalke 04 supervisory board – because only three applications in total were received by the election committee in due time and form. The third candidate, who is not named, was not admitted by the election committee with reference to paragraph 5 of the rules of procedure.
In said paragraph of the Rules of Procedure it is defined that candidates for the Supervisory Board must fulfil the following criteria: Experience in the economic field, special experience in the sporting field, especially football, orderly economic circumstances, personality of the candidate, independence from the club and the board, commitment to the club, probable acceptance by the members.
In addition, the election committee may also determine supplementary criteria for the selection of candidates for the supervisory board – this point is not defined more precisely in the rules of procedure.
