Schalke player is the biggest market value gainer, Cologne talent doubles his price

“Transfermarkt.de” has once again updated the market values of the Regionalliga West after the end of the 2023/24 season. The biggest percentage winner? A Schalke player.

What a season finale for Emmanuel Gyamfi! The 19-year-old left midfielder from FC Schalke 04 has only just signed a professional contract when the new market values are already available. His price has quadrupled!

transfermarkt.de” now puts Gymafi’s market value at 200,000 euros – up from 50,000 euros. An increase of 300 percent for the man who will be part of Schalke’s professional squad in the coming season.

“Emmanuel made a very good impression in the test matches and training sessions. He has a good left foot and is determined in his offensive actions,” sporting director Marc Wilmots praised him.

Damion Downs is already one step ahead. The 19-year-old center forward played ten times for 1. FC Köln in the past Bundesliga season. He always came on as a substitute and scored two goals. In 18 appearances in the Regionalliga West, he scored eight goals and provided one assist for the second team of the Geißböcke.

“Transfermarkt.de” rewards this with a market value increase of 100 percent – from one to two million euros. Calvin Brackelmann (SC Paderborn II, from €250,000 to €500,000), Ibrahima Cissé (FC Schalke 04 II, from €200,000 to €350,000), Paderborn’s Madin Kojic and Steven van der Sloot, who has since left Schalke (each from €125,000 to €250,000), are also among the league’s market value winners.

Florian Dietz, on the other hand, who also moved between the Bundesliga and Regionalliga West at the “Effzeh”, saw the biggest drop. From 800,000 euros, he now has a market value of 600,000 euros. Among the losers are Phil Sieben (Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, from €150,000 to €100,000), Felix Herzenbruch (SSVg Velbert, from €125,000 to €75,000) and Roman Doulashi (FC Schalke 04 II, from €150,000 to €125,000).

Meanwhile, the biggest winner in terms of squad value is, as expected, promoted third division side Alemannia Aachen, who recorded an increase of €380,000 (to €3.11 million).
