Second division football club 1. FC Nürnberg has found a successor for Tobias Schweinsteiger. As is well known, the latter has become head coach at VfL Osnabrück.
1. FC Nuremberg did not start in the 2nd Bundesliga as the “clubers” had hoped. The first crisis was recently compounded by the departure of Tobias Schweinsteiger.
Head coach Robert Klauß lost his co-trainer, who decided to take up a coaching position with third-division team VfL Osnabrück. At the beginning of the week, the FCN introduced Schweinsteiger’s successor. He comes from the Regionalliga Südwest.
Ersan Parlatan will enrich the Klauß coaching team. The 45-year-old family man was head coach at regional league club TSV Steinbach Haiger until the weekend, when he terminated his contract. Previously, Parlatan worked as an assistant coach for Konyaspor and Göztepe in the Turkish Süper Lig, among others.
Dieter Hecking, FCN’s Director of Sport, says: “Ersan absolutely convinced us during the talks. Both in terms of content and as a person. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
“Ersan has already gained his experience in a number of areas. Both as head coach and as co-coach. That was an important reason in the decision-making process. We have known each other for a long time and always exchange ideas about football. Therefore, I know his views as well as his ideas and that ensures a quick start. In addition, he is an empathetic, positive type,” adds Robert Klauß.
