Second-Division Club Targets 1860 Defender; Schweinfurt Releases Player

Following its second win of the season, 1. FC Schweinfurt has announced its fourth winter departure. Meanwhile, a 1860 player is considering a move to the second division.

Martin Thomann (Würzburger Kickers), Jakob Tranziska (Pohang Steelers), and Uche Obiogumu (1. FC Nürnberg) were the previous winter departures from third-division bottom-dwellers 1. FC Schweinfurt. Now a fourth player joins the list of departures. Kevin Frisorger is transferring to TSV Aubstadt in the Bavarian Regional League.

In his career so far, the 25-year-old defender has played for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05, FV Illertissen, and the Würzburger Kickers, among others. With his strength in one-on-one situations and consistency, he is expected to further stabilize TSV Aubstadt’s defense.

Bottom-of-the-table Schweinfurt kicked off the new year with a surprising victory. After five consecutive losses, the “Schnüdel” secured three points once again with a 2-0 win over Viktoria Köln.

Victor Kleinhenz, coach of 1.FC Schweinfurt 05, told “Magenta Sport” after the match: “We executed a lot of things well. Many aspects of our first half of the season weren’t up to par. We want to improve on those now. I tip my hat to the team: there was no complaining or grumbling, even though we didn’t have the best conditions here. We even cleared the snow off the field ourselves at times. Now we’ve put on this courageous performance. We reacted extremely well twice after losing possession. We’d worked on that in preseason. Devin Angleberger is an extremely good soccer player who hasn’t stood out as a long-range shooter until now. If we stick to our game plan, we can make life difficult for any team.”

1860 Munich faces loss of Lippmann

Meanwhile, according to “Sky” reports, TSV 1860 Munich faces the loss of talent Clemens Lippmann. The 19-year-old left-back has caught the eye of second-division side 1. FC Magdeburg. Lippmann, who has made 14 appearances in the current 3. Liga season, is under contract with TSV 1860 until June 30, 2026. However, the Munich club holds an extension option. It remains to be seen what will happen with this situation by February 2, the end of the winter transfer window.
