Shortly before the kick-off – Essen Landesligist presents three more additions

A few hours before the kick-off at SV Biemenhorst (Sunday, August 6, 3.15 p.m.), FC Kray has once again presented three additions.

Three men at one go! FC Kray has signed a new trio ahead of its league opener at SV Biemenhorst (Sunday, August 6, 3:15 p.m.).

With 21-year-old Jason Togbedji, a new defender comes to the Buderusstraße.

“Jason is a player who gives us more options as a defender and who impresses with his clarity in the game. He has a lot of speed and can be used flexibly as an outside or inside defender. His calm, level-headed manner will also make him an asset to our team off the pitch,” said a delighted Kray coach Sebastian Amendt.

Togbedji, who played for MSV Duisburg, VfL Bochum, Arminia Klosterhardt and ETB SW Essen as a youth player, made the leap from the U19s to the ETB first team in the 2021/2022 season, for whom he played 23 games in the top division before moving to Westfalen-Oberliga club Westfalia Herne in the summer of 2023.

With the two Japanese-born Shota Tawada and Toja Sato, FC Kray can announce two more new arrivals for the 2023/2024 Landesliga season starting on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Tawada comes to Essen-Kray from Landesliga club SG Unterrath, for whom he was already active in the Landesliga last season. Sato, who played for Parafrente Yonezawa in Japan, came to Germany last summer and played nine games for league rivals Sportfreunde Niederwenigern last season.

“Both players made a very decent impression in trial training,” Amendt revealed. “Toja is still quite young, but you can see that his style of play suits our soccer. He will have to work on tackling, but his dynamism and goal scoring show that he will enrich our midfield. Shota is physically more robust, but impresses above all with his calmness on the ball and will strengthen our defensive alliance across the board. I’m glad that we were able to sign two development players for our squad who are ready to perform. “
