FC Schalke 04 will strike again on the transfer market. Alex Kral is to be signed on loan from Spartak Moscow.
FC Schalke 04 are on the verge of a transfer of Alex Kral. The promoted club confirmed a report in the Bild newspaper on Tuesday. According to the report, the 24-year-old is to be loaned out by Spartak Moscow for one season. Kral is expected to arrive at the Schalke training camp in Mittersill this Thursday.

“It is correct that we intend to sign Alex Kral. There are still some formal issues pending, that’s why we can’t tell you more at this point,” the club tweeted. The Czech international is expected to undergo a medical check on Wednesday before travelling to the training camp in Mittersill, Austria.
Kral is taking advantage of FIFA’s special transfer deal extended until 2023 for foreign professionals in Russia and Ukraine as a result of the war of aggression. The midfielder was on loan at West Ham United last season, where he got little game time.
Schalke 04: Kral to be eleventh new signing
With a market value of seven million euros, the right-footer would be the most valuable new acquisition for Königsblau this summer. In addition to Schalke, Hertha BSC and RB Leipzig have also been linked with Kral. In total, Kral would be Schalke’s eleventh addition this summer break.
