Six departures at TuS Erndtebrück: Japanese player wants to play at a higher level

Tues Erndtebrück are stuck in mid-table in Westfalenliga 2 and are planning for the 2024/25 season. After five new summer signings, six departures are now also known.

TuS Erndtebrück, who were relegated from the Oberliga, are stuck in mid-table in ninth place in Westfalenliga 2. The train to the top left the station a long time ago, with a seven-point lead over the relegation places with three games remaining.

Plans for another Westfalenliga season are therefore already in full swing. In recent weeks, Erndtebrück has been able to present five young new signings: Justin Huber (24, attack, Sportfreunde Siegen), Marius Burkert (18, midfield, Sportfreunde Siegen U19), Simon Mack (19, defender, FSV Gerlingen), Noel Ben Arfaoui (22, attack, TSV Weißtal) and Endrit Curri (23, attack, TSV Weißtal). In addition, attacker Mamoru Iwamatsu (24, previously without a club) was signed at the end of April.

Now there is also clarity regarding the departures. Erndtebrück will be saying goodbye to six players at the end of the season.

Ueno wants to move up – no agreement with Fünfsinn

Shion Ueno, who has been a mainstay at full-back for most of the season, has decided to leave the club after just one year. The Japanese player, who only came to Erndtebrück last summer from Osaka Kyoiku University in his home country, made 19 appearances this season. According to the club, he wants to look for a job at a higher-class club for the coming season.

The club was also unable to agree a new contract with Leandro Fünfsinn. The striker, who previously played for Sportfreunde Siegen, scored eight goals and provided five assists in just 17 appearances due to injury. He will also be leaving the club after just one year.

There will be no farewell game for either Ueno or Fünfsinn. Both will be out until the end of the season due to injury and will therefore no longer be on the pitch for TuS.

In addition to Ueno and Fünfsinn, the club also announced four other departures: Yudai Matsumoto, Luca Quartaro, Ernes Hidic and Robin Klaas will also be leaving Erndtebrück
