New main sponsor, new jersey. Around an hour after announcing its partnership with new main sponsor Sun AG (contract until 2026), FC Schalke 04 has also unveiled one of the new jerseys for the upcoming second division season. Captain Kenan Karaman and numerous other S04 professionals posted photos of the new jersey on their private Instagram accounts.

Probably the most important news for Schalke fans: the sponsor print “Sun Minimeals” is plain white. In order to match the colors of Schalke 04, the Swiss company has refrained from advertising with its actual company logo – a yellow sun.

The pictures, which have already been published on social media, presumably show the new Schalke kit. Adidas is still the supplier. The shirt is in the colors grey and blue and is decorated with a special check pattern and numerous fine stripes. In the previous season, the Schalke team played in black away shirts

It can be assumed that Schalke will continue to design their home kit in the traditional royal blue. It is also to be expected that a white away kit will be presented. The fact that the Gelsenkircheners play in their club colors is even enshrined in the club’s mission statement. “Our club colors are and will remain blue and white. Whenever possible, this should also be the club teams’ playing kit,” it says.

Schalke to wear the new shirts for the first time against FC Twente

The Schalke 04 professionals should be wearing the new shirts with the Sun sponsor print for the first time next Wednesday. In Marl, the Royal Blues will face top Dutch club FC Twente Enschede in a test match (18:30, EVONIK Sportpark). The second division season kicks off for the Royal Blues on August 3 with a home match against Eintracht Braunschweig (8:30 p.m. Sky and Sport1).
