Spectator capacity increased against RWE – so many fans allowed into the stadium

Good news for SuS 09 Dinslaken: More spectators than originally approved are allowed to come to the match of the year in the Lower Rhine Cup against Rot-Weiss Essen.

That’s what you call a perfect start: District league team SuS 09 Dinslaken started the 2023/2024 season with two victories and 10:3 goals.

The 6:2 win in the derby against TV Jahn Hiesfeld was followed by a 4:1 victory against Friedrichsfeld. “That was a super start. That’s how we imagined it. The team is really fun. Above all, we are very well positioned offensively and there was a feeling that something could always go in the direction of scoring goals,” Dennis Stregwinski told Forecasting.

What are Dinslaken’s plans for this season? After all, they were able to sign Timm Golley, a former third league player, and naturally caused a stir with this transfer.

The sporting director answers: “In this league, every club holds back with an offensive goal. That’s where we come in. A season is so long and a lot can happen. Even if it sounds boring: We look from game to game and in the end we’ll see what it’s enough for. “

Truly, we’re talking about a third division professional club here. We shouldn’t start dreaming that. It’s important for us in this game to sell and represent SuS 09 Dinslaken as well as possible.

On 30 August 2023 (18:30, Forecasting-Liveticker), coach Julian Schubert’s team has a big game on the agenda. It’s round one of the Niederrheinpokal against the reigning title holders: Rot-Weiss Essen. And: There has been good news for Dinslaken in recent days.

For it will not be 500 fans who will be allowed into the stadium at the district sports facility Voerder Straße, as recently communicated, but 1500 spectators. “We submitted a special application to the city and fortunately received the green light. We want to welcome as many fans as possible to this spectacle against RWE,” emphasises Stregwinski.

And in sporting terms, is there anything going for the district league team? Stregwinski answers: “Let’s be honest: We’re talking about a professional third-league club here. We shouldn’t start dreaming about that. What matters to us in this game is to sell and represent SuS 09 Dinslaken as well as possible. “
