FC Schalke 04 will be visiting FC St. Pauli on Saturday. The Hamburg team warns against tickets that are blocked or forged.
When FC St. Pauli has a home match on the agenda, the Millerntor Stadium is actually always full. This is of course also true for next Saturday, when FC Schalke 04 will be visiting the Hanseatic city.
The demand for tickets was huge, the traditional duel under floodlights on the seventh second division matchday (Saturday, 8.30 pm) has already been sold out for weeks. In the run-up to the match, St. Pauli once again warned against prohibited practices when trading tickets and forged tickets.
According to the club, it is not permitted to sell or purchase tickets via secondary market platforms such as Viagogo or classified ads – even if they are offered at the original price.
“Tickets purchased via such unauthorised online and ticket platforms do not entitle the holder to admission due to the ATGB violation and are blocked or cancelled by us,” the Hamburg club wrote in a statement on its website. Ticket traders also have to fear consequences in the form of contractual penalties or blocking of purchases. Instead, the Hanseatic city refers to its own official secondary ticket market.
St. Pauli also advises against purchasing tickets at increased prices from dealers in the vicinity of the stadium. There is a high risk “that these will be blocked on match day and admission will be denied”. Anyone who has already purchased tickets on a platform not tolerated by the club and/or at inflated prices can contact the club at the e-mail address [email protected].
For St. Pauli, the match against Schalke is the fourth home game of the season. With 29,546 spectators, the Millerntor Stadium was sold out on each occasion. While the spectators did not see any goals in the first matches against Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1. FC Magdeburg, they were able to celebrate the first victory last weekend: The “Kiezkicker” won 5:1 against Holstein Kiel.
