Stauder on the shirt chest in the Lower Rhine Cup

Rot-Weiss Essen will be wearing a different shirt sponsor in the games in the Niederrheinpokal.

Rot-Weiss Essen will start the Niederrheinpokal on Wednesday (19:30) with the match at district league team SuS Dinslaken.

However, the RWE jersey will look a little different than in everyday life in the 3rd league. This is because Rot-Weiss Essen and the private brewery Jacob Stauder are intensifying their cooperation even further. In the 2023/24 Niederrheinpokal season, RWE will be wearing the red jersey with Stauder on the chest.

There are a maximum of six matches before RWE could defend its title and enter the DFB Cup again. Marcus Uhlig, Chairman of the Board of Rot-Weiss Essen: “The desire to read Stauder on the RWE jersey chest one day is naturally deeply rooted among our fans. Together with the team from the private brewery Stauder, we have developed an idea on how to make this a reality – and found a possibility in the Niederrheinpokal competition.”

It was only in June this year that the partnership extension between RWE and Stauder was announced for another four years until 2027. Uhlig: “Our partnership is based on tradition, trusting cooperation and a wealth of ideas! We are particularly proud of this. “

When I think about the atmosphere at the Niederrheinpokal victory against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen last season, I still get goose bumps.

Dr. Thomas Stauder

“When I think about the atmosphere during the Niederrheinpokal victory against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen last season, I still get goose bumps. With our shirt sponsorship, we want to help Rot-Weiss Essen to lift the trophy to the sky at the end of this cup season. I am proud that the long-standing partnership with Rot-Weiss Essen is always receiving new components,” says Dr. Thomas Stauder.

The native of Essen and RWE fan since childhood is himself a regular at Hafenstraße – as he was at the most recent 1:0 victory against Preußen Münster. The RWE Lower Rhine Cup jersey will also go on sale. More detailed information will follow shortly.
