The 1st FC Bocholt has already had six departures. One top man, however, will probably stay – as of today.
Mika Hanraths (Alemannia Aachen), Kevin Grund, Marcel Platzek (both SV Schermbeck), Andre Bugla (Blau-Weiß Dingden), Max Mahn (PSV Wesel-Lackhausen) and Florian Abel (destination unknown) will leave 1. FC Bocholt.
In the environment of the regional league club, fans are wondering whether the 1st FC will lose another regular player – such as Malek Fakhro – after the top performers like Hanraths, Platzek or Grund.
The striker scored 14 goals in 27 appearances and is also likely to arouse desires. However, he has a contract until the summer of 2024, but Platzek and Grund, who were originally also tied to Bocholt until June 30, 2024, also proved that this does not always mean much.
“With me, it looks different,” Fakhro told RevierSport. “I would be free of a transfer fee in the event of relegation, otherwise you would have to pay a transfer fee for me. But I’m not thinking about a relegation scenario at all. I don’t want to leave either. I feel very much at home here and am grateful to the club for reaching out to me and bringing me back to the Ruhr from Lübeck. I’m trying to repay that trust with performances.”
According to our information, the fixed transfer fee for the 25-year-old is just 5000 euros – actually no obstacle for an interested party. But: This transfer fee only applies in the event of a move to the 3rd league. In the Regionalliga, Fakhro is bound until 2024 either way.
It is important for 1. FC Bocholt to maintain this division in the last four games. “I’m in good spirits there. I think we need a win, then we should be as good as through. We should be able to do that. If not, then we wouldn’t have deserved to stay in the class either,” emphasizes the attacker.
