Moritz Stoppelkamp has not quite had the same career as the multiple world footballer Ronaldo. But at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, the former Bundesliga professional is certainly the best-known player in the squad.

Stoppelkamp himself took it with humor: “That was a nice gesture. I hope I made the boys happy at that moment,” said Stoppelkamp. He added: “It was all very relaxed during this pre-season game. So I hope the lads weren’t taken away.”
However, Stoppelkamp is not worried that something like this will also happen in the Regionalliga in the future. Oberhausen coach Sebastian Gunkel wouldn’t like that either. “It’s always dangerous to a certain extent,” said Gunkel. “Sure, you can laugh about it now and ‘Stoppel’ will probably have the next nickname,” said the RWO coach. And he also had a tip ready: “Cristiano”.
The two Stoppelkamp fans Noah and Christoph were definitely happy, because they had their long-awaited photo with their idol. Nevertheless, this kind of thing shouldn’t be allowed to go on.
