Alemannia Aachen have completed a successful test match. They won 3:1 at Mittelrheinliga side Germania Teveren.
Alemannia Aachen have made a successful start to the test matches of the current summer preparations. The promoted team from the third division won 3-1 at Germania Teveren.
Sascha Marquet and new signing Leandro Putaro (2), who moved to Aachen from Arminia Bielefeld, scored the goals for Alemannia against the Mittlerheinliga club.
Perhaps the two players will also move to Aachen. After all, Bjarne Pudel (Borussia Dortmund U23) and Marvin Ajani (most recently Hallescher FC) were allowed to prove themselves under the watchful eye of Alemannia coach Heiner Backhaus. Meanwhile, Ulrich Bapoh, Bastian Müller, Anton Heinz and Mika Hanraths were either rested or absent due to minor injuries.
Dustin Willms, Beyhan Ametov, Vincent Schaub, Lars Oeßwein and Marc Brasnic, who are allowed to leave Alemannia early despite having valid contracts until June 30, 2025, also did not take part in the test match in Teveren. They will also be absent on Sunday (June 30) when Alemannia set off for the training camp in Dessau
Onur Ünlücifci, who was allowed to show himself in training in Aachen in the last few days, will not be there either. “He made a strong impression,” Erdal Celik, Technical Director at Aachen, praised the trialist to the “Aachener Zeitung”. Perhaps the FSV Frankfurt ten-man, who scored 18 points (eleven goals, seven assists) in 27 appearances last season, will become an issue at a later date.
It remains to be seen what will become of Pudel and Ajani. Pudel, a central defender, made 16 appearances for BVB II last season. The 23-year-old’s contract was not extended in Dortmund.
The same applies to 30-year-old right-back Ajani, who left Halle after the club was relegated to the Regionalliga. He wants to stay in the 3rd division. Ajani’s 205 appearances in the 3rd division – including 75 matches for MSV Duisburg – prove that he can play in the division. Perhaps a few games in an Alemannia jersey will soon be added to Ajani’s CV
