SV Vestia Disteln want to do their homework quickly in the Landesliga Westfalen 3. A total of 16 players from the current squad will remain with the club.
SV Vestia Disteln had already signed the first extensions for the coming season in mid-January. The club from the Landesliga Westfalen 3 has now pushed ahead with these plans. Eleven more players have signed for the coming season.
The club from Herten is delighted to have secured the services of its two top scorers from the recent past – Yannick Goecke and Philipp Müller will continue to play together for Vestia Disteln. “Yannick is in absolute top form and has become even more important for the young players following the departure of Yakup Köse,” said team boss Martin Schmidt.
In addition to the striker duo, captain Sven Hahnenkamp, Max Sellinat, Timo Schmidt, Fabian Lohmeyer, Philipp Amft, Felix Altehage, Jan-Philipp Schramm, Kevin Kenzlers and Jonas Weeke have also extended their contracts for the coming season.
But that’s not all. Linus Waldner from TuS 05 Sinsen and Tom Gola from the U19 team of TuS Haltern am See are the first two new signings for the coming season. Gola’s brother Kevin already plays for Vestia Disteln. “Tom was able to gain a lot of experience in youth soccer and is currently playing with his team in the Westfalenliga. We believe that he has the potential to make a name for himself with us,” said Schmidt.
Coaching team also remains in place
But there is now also clarity off the pitch. Daniel Koseler and Martin Schmidt himself will remain on the sidelines in the coming season. Although the duo have aroused the interest of other clubs, they will remain loyal to their club. “Daniel is the most talented coach in the Vest, there’s no doubt in my mind,” says Schmidt, who is also co-coach.
Schmidt emphasizes in the statement that the current good position in the table is not a slip-up: “The journey is not over yet. We have ambitions, and that will remain the case in the future. We won’t be playing amateur soccer.”
Marvin Piechottka will also ensure this. The former SpVgg Erkenschwick, TuS 05 Sinsen and DSC Wanne-Eickel player is ending his playing career after the current season and will join the coaching team as an assistant. He is a soccer fanatic, “has enormous expertise and a very good connection to the boys. “
