Sporting top performances in the most beautiful Alpine scenery. In the “Swiss Epic” mountain bike race, participants covered more than 350 kilometres in five stages. The route from Graubünden across the Alps to Davos covered 12,000 metres in altitude.
On the last stage, unlike the previous day, the mountain bikers and racers were spared the rain, but many trails continued to be muddy and the risk of falling was still high.
The overall victory in the women’s race went to the German duo Bettina Janas and Adelheid Morath. The Italian-Austrian duo Fabian Rabensteiner/Daniel Geismayr won the men’s race.
A total of 410 two-teams competed, including leading professional mountain bikers and passionate hobby riders.
