FC Schalke 04 has agreed on another test match for the ongoing 2023/2024 summer preparation.
When FC Schalke 04 will move into their training camp in Austria, the German second division club will also test against a Polish first division team.
FC Schalke 04 against Górnik Zabrze: That will be the name of the test match on 15 July (3.30 pm) at the Waldstadion zu Mittersill. Fans can already purchase e-tickets – here. S04 will be on site in Mittersill from 8 to 16 July and will prepare for their second division opener at Hamburger SV (28 July, 20.30).
Zabrze, sixth in the table in the past 2022/2023 Ekstraklasa season in Poland, also have a player in their squad that every football fan knows. Lukas Podolski, 2006 World Champion and former professional of 1. FC Köln and FC Bayern München, plays for the traditional Polish club. The miners’ club from Upper Silesia has been Polish champion 14 times.
