It’s all set! The Hecker Cup 2024 will have its dream final: Hosts ASC 09 Dortmund will face the highest class participant Türkspor Dortmund on Saturday (7 p.m.).

Both teams advanced to the semi-finals with relative ease. Aplerbeck defeated SV Brackel 61 10:1 and SV Brackel 06 3:0 in the preliminary round. In the quarter-finals, TuS Eichlinghofen was defeated 4:1. The next match was against the regional league team SV Brackel 61 – not quite as clearly as in the first encounter but still comfortable: Anis El Hamassi (11th) and Joker Jonas Burchardt (60th) ultimately ensured a 2:0 victory.

Türkspor Dortmund also had few problems. The new regional league team defeated Hombrucher SV 3:0 and TuS Eichlinghofen 1:0 in the preliminary round. Things became clearer in the knockout round: the final score was 4:1 against BSV Schüren, before last year’s Oberliga rivals FC Brünninghausen were thrashed 9:0. Seven goals were scored in the second half.

On the final day, Türkspor Dortmund will now go for the €2,000 prize money and their second tournament victory since 2021. ASC Dortmund could still have revenge for the previous Oberliga season in mind. Back then, Türkspor clinched second place in the regional league thanks to a 1:0 derby win shortly before the end of the season. The match for third place between Brackel 06 and FC Brünninghausen will be played at 5 pm.
