In the Regionalliga West, only 13 matchdays have been played and there have already been a number of coach dismissals. The next dismissal is imminent.
What do the Regionalliga West representatives 1. FC Bocholt, Eintracht Hohkeppel, Türkspor Dortmund, Wuppertaler SV and SC Wiedenbrück have in common in the 2024/2025 season? That’s right. These five clubs have already parted ways with their coaches. Wuppertal and Wiedenbrück are still looking for new coaches.
According to forecasting information, Türkspor Dortmund will be looking for their third coach for the current season from Tuesday evening.
The days of Yakup Göksu, successor to promotion coach Sebastian Tyrala, are apparently numbered after just five games and defeats – 3-7 against Paderborn II, 0-7 against Düsseldorf II, 0-2 against Fortuna Cologne, 2-4 against SC Wiedenbrück, 2-4 against SV Rödinghausen.
“There will be another talk on Tuesday evening. Then we can certainly talk in more detail on the phone. I don’t want to say too much now. But I also know how the business works,” Göksu told this editorial team on Monday evening (October 28).
His addition: “We played really well last Saturday in the 2-4 loss in Rödinghausen. But in the end it’s a results sport and the result speaks against us. We just make too many individual mistakes. At some point it’s no longer a matter of luck, but a question of quality.”
Twelve games, one win, two draws, nine defeats and 14:42 goals: a devastating record for the promoted team from Dortmund, who are playing in the fourth division for the first time in the club’s history. Only a sporting miracle could still ensure another season in the regional league, then in 2025/2026. Or the third coach after Tyrala and Göksu.
The question remains as to who could manage to lift the Türkspor Dortmund team out of the basement, which is currently seven points behind the safe shore? The Türkspor management will have to answer this question in the next few days. Next weekend – Saturday, November 2nd, 2 p.m. – 1. FC Bocholt is waiting for Türkspor Dortmund.
