The key dates for the 2026/2027 season in the Men’s Regional League West have been set.
The soccer committee of the West German Soccer Association has approved the provisional schedule for the coming season. The Men’s Regional League West will kick off the new season with the first match day from July 31 to August 2, 2026. The last match day of the 2026/2027 season is scheduled for the weekend of May 21-23, 2027. When drawing up the provisional schedule for the Men’s Regional League West, match director Reinhold Spohn considered variants with 34 and 38 match days. The number of match days played depends on the strength of the league, which is influenced by promoted and relegated teams. In the current 2025/2026 season, there are 18 teams playing 34 match days. After the 18th and 21st match days from December 4 to 6, 2026, the winter break is scheduled to begin, subject to the scheduling of any catch-up games. From January 15 to 17, 2027 (or January 22 to 24, 2026), play in the Regionalliga West is scheduled to resume with the 19th and 22nd match days, respectively.
