After 17 departures, TuS Bövinghausen has put together an almost completely new team. On Saturday, February 3, the 2024 competitive season kicks off with a derby.
It took a little longer, but a few days before the Oberliga Westfalen kick-off to 2024, the TuS Bövinghausen squad is complete.
The management team, led by boss Ajan Dzaferoski, and the coaching team, Dino Dzaferoski and Danny Voß, had to put together an almost completely new team. And they have done it: including the five players who have been there from the start of the 2023/2024 season – Kerim Senderovic, Dino Dzaferoski, Moritz Brüggemann, Yanni Regäsel, Joelle Cavit Tomczak – the squad with which the Dortmunders go into the second half of the season consists of a total of 22 men.
Brazilians Lucas de Souza Filgueiras and Mauricio Luiz Ribeiro Ramos will not be part of the team due to problems with their player licenses.
But in Bövinghausen they are very satisfied with the squad. “They are all good guys who are fully committed. We feel their great ambition and will in every session. We really like that. It’s just fun working with guys like that who embrace the basic virtues of soccer,” Dzaferoski and Voß explain to Forecasting.
On Saturday, February 3 (5 p.m.), promotion contenders ASC 09 Dortmund will be competing for the first points in 2024. Bövinghausen has a 14-point lead over the relegation places. Voß and Dzaferoski are convinced: “We’ll stay in the league! And at ASC? It will be a surprise for everyone. We’ll see what we see on Saturday evening. In any case, we’re going to Aplerbeck to get something out of the game.”
