Tues Bövinghausen has put together an almost completely new team following its 17 departures. On Saturday, February 3, the 2024 season kicks off with a derby.
It took a little longer, but the TuS Bövinghausen squad is now in place just a few days before the 2024 Oberliga Westfalen opener.
Those responsible around boss Ajan Dzaferoski and the coaching team of Dino Dzaferoski and Danny Voß had to put together an almost completely new team. And they did it: Including the five players who have been with the club since the start of the 2023/2024 season – Kerim Senderovic, Dino Dzaferoski, Moritz Brüggemann, Yanni Regäsel and Joelle Cavit Tomczak – the Dortmund squad going into the second half of the season consists of a total of 22 men.
Brazilians Lucas de Souza Filgueiras and Mauricio Luiz Ribeiro Ramos will not be part of the squad due to problems with their match permits.
However, Bövinghausen is happy with the squad. “They are all good lads who are fully committed. We can feel their great ambition and will in every session. We really like that. It’s simply fun with guys like that, who take the basic virtues of soccer to heart,” Dzaferoski and Voß told Forecasting.
On Saturday, February 3 (5 p.m.), the first points of 2024 will be at promotion contenders ASC 09 Dortmund. Bövinghausen are 14 points clear of the relegation zone. Voß and Dzaferoski are convinced: “We will stay in the league! And the ASC? That will be a surprise for everyone. Let’s see what we see there on Saturday evening. We’re definitely going to Aplerbeck to take something with us.”
