The trend is toward players on loan – here’s an overview of the best players whose contracts in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga expire on June 30, 2023.
Planning for the new season is underway at almost all clubs. Only 1. FC Köln, which has been imposed a transfer ban by Fifa for two transfer periods, cannot yet plan.
An appeal against the ban is currently underway. In a few weeks, FC will know whether the ban will be suspended for the time being or not. By then, one or two players will certainly no longer be available on a free transfer.
However, Cologne would probably be out of the top ten Bundesliga players on loan anyway. Because this year there are some real caliber, which may change the club without a transfer fee.
