SC Preußen Münster is looking to improve on its performance at Fortuna Düsseldorf II in the Regionalliga West. The starting position is right.
SC Preußen Münster wants to confirm the victory against 1. FC Düren.
On Saturday (2 p.m.) they travel to the U23 of Fortuna Düsseldorf. They are in second place in the Regionalliga home table, but Fortuna coach Nico Michaty has to do without many players. He has only 14 healthy players at his disposal.
The situation is different for the Prussians, who do not have a full lazaretto to complain about. Lukas Frenkert is also back after his injury, as SCP coach Sascha Hildmann emphasises: “Lukas is back in full team training. No one else is injured either, which makes us happy.”
Therefore, only Dennis Daube and Manfred Osei Kwadwo will be missing. Hildmann says about the latter: “I like him a lot, he’s a cheerful guy. Of course he’s annoyed by the situation, but he’s picked up by us, has a young family that also keeps him on his toes. It won’t work out for him this year, as much as I would like to say otherwise. We want to do more preventative work with him before he comes back.”
Hildmann, who will also start with a three-man backline against Fortuna after the successful experiment against Düren, has respect for the opponent: “Düsseldorf has a very young, talented team. Typical for a U-team. But they are physically very present, they fight back with everything they have. You have to really work hard to beat them.”
Which is the plan for Preußen, who are currently in second place, level on points with SV Rödinghausen, with Münster having a game in hand. Hildmann: “We want to follow up our win against Düren. Düsseldorf II have personnel problems, we know that, but they will bring a good team onto the pitch. They didn’t win 4:1 against Fortuna Cologne just like that. “
