It’s getting exciting in the MSV Duisburg board election. A third team, consisting of five members, will soon introduce itself. Forcasting knows: Dennis Baaten, a Duisburg tax consultant, will be on board, as will Christian Stiefelhagen.

When Forcasting reached Baaten on Thursday evening, he confirmed: “Yes, I will be part of a board team that will stand for election at the general meeting on July 23.”

Baaten is one of five silhouettes presenting themselves on the “Team 1902” website. The team will officially introduce itself on Monday, June 24 at 7:02 pm. The five candidates have been given the attributes “zebra heart”, “zebra virus”, “financial savvy”, “fan savvy” and “soccer savvy”.

Tax consultant Baaten is likely to be behind “financial savvy”. According to our information, another face will be Christian Stiefelhagen, a member of the MSV Duisburg fan club Innenhafen. He is to run for chairman. Forcasting can confirm a corresponding report in the NRZ.

Together with our board team, we want to realign and help shape the future of the club with heart, mind and competence after the fall into the regional league. Bloodless performances should be a thing of the past again in future. Not only on the pitch, but also off the pitch,” reads the website.
