This jersey is the most worn of the EM

The comparison portal Check24 has sent out 5 million of its unofficial DFB jerseys. It is the biggest advertising coup of Euro 2024.

Sporting goods giant Adidas recently announced that the national team’s pink away jersey is set to become a historic bestseller. “The pink jersey is the best-selling away jersey in the history of all DFB jerseys,” said Adidas spokesman Oliver Brüggen.

This may be true, but Adidas did not provide any sales figures – and there is a German national team jersey that is seen much more often on German streets. But it doesn’t come from Adidas, but from the comparison portal Check24.

The Munich-based company had already launched its own Germany shirt from sporting goods manufacturer Puma before the start of the tournament. An unofficial shirt, the eagle on the chest was removed to avoid a copyright dispute. However, the shirt was available for free and had a prominent advertising medium in Lukas Podolski.

However, anyone who wanted a jersey with the company’s print on it first had to download the Check24 app and disclose their details when registering. However, this hardly had a deterrent effect: the 5,000,000 jerseys were delivered at the weekend.

Check 24 already European PR champion

Check 24 has thus reached its limit and jerseys can no longer be ordered in future. It is an incredible advertising coup, Check 24 is already the European PR champion. The Check24 app remained at number one in the download charts for weeks.

The free mass product is still in demand: the jerseys are already being traded at horrendous prices on sales platforms such as eBay. Yet every interested party should have one by now – at least that’s what pictures from stadiums, fan zones and public viewings suggest. But a glance at the streets of a big city is enough. The most worn jersey of this European Championship – it’s white instead of pink. (Gold)
