SC Preußen Münster has a number of talented players under its wing. A trio of players have now been called up to various national under-23 teams.
Regional League West leaders SC Preußen Münster play in the junior national leagues with their U17 and U19 youngsters.
However, it is not only the club that benefits from this good youth work, but also the national youth teams on a regular basis. With Christopher Goerler, Vita Bartsch and Damian Truckenbrod, three U17 youngsters from Münster are once again in the focus of their selection teams.
Goerler will take part in the training camp of the U17 national team of Slovakia in Dunajská Streda, where Peter Hyballa once coached the local first division team, from 7 to 9 November.
Bartsch and Truckenbrod, who are also on the ball for the Preußen U17 as youngsters, were on the call-up list for the German Football Association’s U16 assessment course at the DFB campus.
“We are very happy for the three of them who have absolutely deserved this recognition. It’s a very nice recognition of their achievements so far this season,” says Münster’s U17 coach Moritz Glasbrenner and adds: “Christopher can help us a lot with the experience he gained as a youth player at BVB but also in the training courses of the national team. Vito and Damian don’t enjoy puppy protection with us, even as young players. They have developed fantastically and are taking on a lot of responsibility.”
SC Preußen Münster’s U17s are in twelfth place in the Junior Bundesliga West. After ten games, the Glasbrenner protégés have two wins, three draws and five defeats to their name. The Preußen talents are currently in a relegation spot.
On Saturday (12 November 2022, 11 a.m.), they will travel to fourth-placed Borussia Dortmund.
