After promotion to the Landesliga, squad planning is underway at VfB Speldorf. Three more new arrivals have been confirmed.
VfB Speldorf recently suffered a setback on the transfer market. Calvin Küper, the top goal scorer of Spvg. Schonnebeck, withdrew his commitment – the transfer, which had been celebrated as a coup, fell through.
But the Mülheim team, which celebrated promotion back to the Landesliga last season, has now signed three more players. In the past few days, they announced the additions of eight to ten new players.
One of them even brings fourth-league experience to Speldorf. It is Kian Licina, as RS had already announced a few days ago. The 20-year-old played four times in the first half of the pre-season for SG Wattenscheid in the Regionalliga West. He had joined the SGW from the youth team of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. After half a year, the defensive player moved on to Westfalen-Oberliga club ASC Dortmund – and now he is coming to VfB.
“I’m really looking forward to the new task and want to really find my feet and play after last season. I want to continue to develop here, show what I can do and play a good role in the league with the club in order to play as high up as I can,” the club quotes Licina on his move.
With Noah Devran Andich Abdeslam, another youngster joins the traditional club. The 19-year-old collected 23 Oberliga appearances for SV Sonsbeck last season and is continuing his career one division lower. “I can’t wait for the new season to start. The club has completely convinced me in all respects,” says the young midfielder.
Meanwhile, Jesse Arthur, only 18 years old, wants to take his first steps at senior level in Speldorf. He last played in the U19 Lower Rhine League for VfB Homberg. “I’m already fired up for the coming season and want to inspire the club and the fans with my style of play and my goals,” says the attacking player, whom the Speldorf team had had on their radar for some time.
