There was bad news for some professional games before Christmas. Such as with two third-division clubs. These informed some of their players that they no longer play a role.
In an interview with the “Nordwest-Zeitung”, Sebastian Schachten, sports director of VfB Oldenburg, revealed that the promoted team no longer plans to continue with two players.
Marco Schultz and Affamefuna-Michael Ifeadigo may leave the club early in January. The attacking midfielder Schultz (30) has not yet made any appearances this season. Striker Ifeadigo (26) has made just four appearances for a total of 151 minutes.
It remains to be seen whether the duo will find new employers in January. Either way: “We want to improve the quality of our team, if it fits,” emphasises Schachten with regard to winter additions.
TSV 1860 München is also looking for reinforcements in the winter. Preferably an attacking midfielder like Rene Klingenburg (1. FC Kaiserslautern) – RevierSport reported. But this transfer will probably not happen.
Meanwhile, Quirin Moll, Marius Willsch and Lorenz Knöferl’s time with the “Löwen” has probably come to an end. The trio have not been included in the Sixers’ test matches at all lately and will look for new clubs in January. “We have currently settled on these 20 players who made a good impression in training,” 52-year-old 1860 coach Michael Köllner explained to the “Abendzeitung” why he did not use the trio in test matches recently.
Moll (31) has made ten appearances in the current season. Willsch (31) made five appearances and 19-year-old newcomer Knöferl is still waiting for his third league debut in the current series in the TSV 1860 München shirt.
