Training comeback for BVB star Schlotterbeck

After five months out with injury, Nico Schlotterbeck is back training with Borussia Dortmund. You can see how happy he is.

National soccer player Nico Schlotterbeck has completed parts of training with Borussia Dortmund for the first time since his serious knee injury. BVB also released a video showing the 25-year-old center back in good spirits during the session with his teammates, including exercises with the ball. According to the club, he had previously been training individually on the Westphalian Bundesliga club’s training ground. Schlotterbeck suffered a torn meniscus in his knee on April 7. “Nico’s absence hits us very hard. He is a very important part of our team and has impressed with consistently good performances this season,” BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl emphasized at the time. In total, the defender has already been out for around five months. Borussia did not provide any information about a possible comeback for the 20-time international in their statement on Wednesday.
