The SG Wattenscheid 09 squad has been completed by another piece of the puzzle. An 18-year-old left-back has been signed.
After 13 departures, SG Wattenscheid 09 has now presented its twelfth addition for the upcoming season in the Oberliga Westfalen.
And he already has a past at the Lohrheide. This is because 18-year-old Luca Pasche is returning to Wattenscheid from regional league club SSV Buer, having laced up his soccer boots for the 09 youth team for a total of seven years before moving to Buer in the summer of 2023.
Wattenscheid’s Head of Sport Richard Weber is pleased with the new signing: “With Luca, we’re closing the gap at left-back. He is a young player who impressed us last week as a guest player in several training sessions and the test match against Horsthausen. We are delighted to be able to support and develop him in his first senior year.”
The returnee is also happy that the switch has worked out: “I was able to show myself as a guest player in the training sessions and in the test match last week and I’m happy to be part of Wattenscheid 09 again. Having played here for seven years as a youth player, it was always a goal for me to play at the Lohrheide Stadium. My personal goal is to develop further, gain experience and get playing time. I’m looking forward to the new season, the new stadium and our fans.”
