Two games, two goals, three assists! Anton Heinz impresses Bayern II

Anton Heinz joined FC Bayern Munich II this season. And after just two games, they already know what they have in their new signing.

It took just one week for Anton Heinz to make a name for himself in the Bavarian regional league. The former Aachen player is, of course, already well known in the west.

Heinz first contributed an assist to the 2-1 opening win against FC Augsburg II. Exactly one week later, Heinz really turned up the heat in Bayern’s first home game against TSV Buchbach.

The match was spectacular and ended 6-3 in favor of Bayern’s reserve team. Anton Heinz contributed two goals and two assists to this resounding victory. However, Bayern’s reserve team is not in first place. SpVgg Unterhaching and Würzburger Kickers have also made a perfect start, but with a goal difference of one goal better. Wacker Burghausen also has six points, but is behind Bayern II in fourth place.

Points Table

Heinz came through the youth ranks at Arminia Bielefeld and SC Verl, where he made his senior debut. After his first appearances for SC Verl’s second team, the attacking winger made the leap to the Regionalliga West first team in 2017.

In 2020, Heinz moved to SV Lippstadt 08, where he played 38 games in one season and was involved in nine goals. This was followed by a move to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, where Heinz was one of the most important players, scoring 30 goals and providing 15 assists in 69 league games. With the “Kleeblätter” (clover leaves), he reached the final of the Niederrhein Cup in 2023. In his first season in 2023/24, he was crowned top scorer in the Regionalliga West with 20 goals, led Alemannia to the championship and promotion to the 3rd division, won the Mittelrhein Cup, and attracted national attention with three direct free kicks in a game against Wuppertaler SV.In his first third division game, Heinz scored twice against Rot-Weiss Essen. After a year in League 3 with four assists and six goals in 33 games, Heinz decided in the summer of 2025 to move to Bayern Munich II in the Bavarian Regional League, where he is expected to bring more stability and goal-scoring threat to the team as an experienced offensive player. At first glance, this seems to be working.
