On the last day of the winter transfer window, Sportclub Verl has made two new arrivals. Another player has left the club.
Eight departures and four arrivals: That is the balance sheet of SC Verl in the past winter transfer window.
On the deadline day, the third-division club made two additions. Defensive midfielder Patrick Kammerbauer, who was most recently under contract with SC Freiburg II and has not had an employer since 1 July 2022, is moving to Poststraße.
“Patrick has a lot of experience at the age of 25. In addition to 56 appearances in the 3rd division, Patrick has already made 60 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga. With Patrick, we get a player who has already shown that he can give a team a lot of impetus and also lead a young team,” says Verl’s sports director Sebastian Lange.
In addition, the search for a striker is over. The 23-year-old Dutchman Stijn Meijer will strengthen the Sportclub offence until the end of the season. He moves from PEC Zwolle to East Westphalia. In 102 games in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, Meijer was involved in 41 goals (24 goals, 17 assists).
Lange: “Stijn is a strong striker who has absolute qualities in the penalty area. With his skills, he strengthens our squad and gives us more options in the offensive. We will now quickly integrate him into our team so that he can help us immediately.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Leon Bürger (23) is the eighth player to leave Verl this winter. He is moving to SV Babelsberg 03 in the Regionalliga Nordost on loan until the end of the season.
“We wish Leon every success for his time at SV Babelsberg and will be watching his development very closely,” explained Lange.
