VfL Bochum has announced two more preparation dates. Test matches with an Italian first and German second division team have been arranged.
It won’t be long before the professionals of VfL Bochum start their preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga season. In just over a week, on 5 July, head coach Thomas Letsch will ask his team to start training. Six weeks then remain until the first matchday.
The Bochum team has now announced two more dates for the preparation. Two days before the training camp in South Tyrol at the end of July, the VfL will test against an attractive opponent.
It will be against second-division team Fortuna Düsseldorf. The match will be played on Friday, 21 July, at the Paul Janes Stadium at Flinger Broich. Kick-off is at 6 p.m. Fans can buy standing-room tickets for ten euros. It has not yet been decided how much tickets for seats will cost.
At the same time, the Revierklub announced that it will meet Spezia Calcio during the training camp (Wednesday, 26 July, 6 pm). Last year, Bochum already faced the Italian club that was relegated from the Serie A last season. It is not yet clear where the match will be played.
This means that VfL now has five test matches lined up. An opponent is still being sought for the dress rehearsal before the first competitive match in the DFB Cup at Arminia Bielefeld.
