Two more teams have reached the round of 16 in the Niederrheinpokal. Oberliga teams Spvg Schonnebeck and TVD Velbert celebrated victories on Thursday evening.
On the evening before their appearances in the Niederrheinpokal, the Oberliga teams Spvg Schonnebeck and TVD Velbert received an additional warning. With Union Nettetal, a league rival was eliminated against district league team VfR Fischeln on Wednesday.
Schonnebeck and Velbert, on the other hand, did not stumble against lower-class opponents and entered the round of 16 on Thursday evening.
Spielvereinigung made it very clear at TSV Wachtendonk-Wankum. The final score was 10:0, and after only four minutes, Yannick Geisler scored a penalty. Max Fleer (14th, 62nd), Tim Winking (41st, 78th), Robin Brandner (45th, 83rd) and the talented Conor Tönnies (49th, 53rd, 83rd), who recently signed a long-term contract, also scored against the Bezirksliga bottom team.
TVD Velbert had a much more difficult time getting through to the next round. The team from Niederberg won 2-1 at PSV Wesel-Lackhaus.
After half an hour, Eunseok Ko gave Velbert the lead with a header. But only five minutes later, Max Mahn equalised with a remarkable direct shot. Shortly after half-time, it was Harumi Goto who put TVD back in the lead (48th). And it remained 2-1 for the favourites.
