U19 talent leaves – “I’m not afraid of big names and will compete against anyone”.

A defensive talent from MSV Duisburg is leaving the Zebras again after just one year and is hoping for a new challenge.

“I really hope that I find a coach and club where I get a real chance and continue to be trained to get closer to my dream step by step,” says Jeremiaha Maluze in an interview with the portal “transfermarkt.de”.

The 18-year-old central defender of MSV Duisburg is leaving the youth team of the third-division club and wants to attack somewhere else. The 1.93-metre tall defender probably didn’t always feel valued at MSV, as the lines in the transfermarkt interview reveal.

He played 15 games in the last U19 Bundesliga West season. In the summer of 2022, Maluze had moved from SG Unterrath to Duisburg to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional. But that will not work out at MSV.

However, Maluze also looks back positively on his experiences in Meiderich and has gained a lot of self-confidence: “Under Engin Vural, I was able to learn a lot and take a lot with me. I’m not afraid of big names and I’ll compete against anyone. I work and train very hard and will give everything for my upcoming club. I am hot, hungry and ready. Of course I still have a lot to learn and improve, I’m open to that. But I’m also aware of what I bring to a coach and a team.”

The Duisburg native is said to be in contact with a number of Oberliga and Regionalliga clubs, as well as clubs from Belgium and the Netherlands. Where Maluze will ultimately be drawn has not yet been decided. His advisor agency “Prime11” told transfermarkt.de: “Jeremiaha’s dream would of course be to take the next step with an U23 Bundesliga team, but life is not a concert of wishes. We have already had and are having very good talks. The important thing is that the boy gets a real chance, a coach who helps him and under whom he plays. “
