VfL Bochum are planning the new season in their talent pool and have now made a full signing in the U19 offense.
VfL Bochum are already looking ahead to the coming season for their U19s and have signed a talented player for the new season in the Junior Bundesliga West.
Thanks to the league reform, VfL Bochum knows that, despite the weak current season, it will also be in the top division next season.
For the 2024/25 season, 17-year-old Lirim Jashari, a talented player from Alemannia Aachen, has now been signed. The Kosovan attacking midfielder has scored nine goals in 20 games for Aachen in the Junior Bundesliga this season.
He previously played for FC Hennef, where he also showed his scoring talent. In the U17 Bundesliga West, he scored seven times in 15 matches. As a reward, he made his debut for Kosovo’s U19 national team in 2023. A few days ago, he made his second appearance for his country in a 1-0 win against Austria.
David Siebers, Head of Squad Planning from U13 to U19 at Bochum Talentwerk, is very much looking forward to the new attacking midfielder: “In Lirim, we are getting a player who has gradually improved at his clubs over the last few years and is moving to a youth academy for the first time. There is still a lot of potential lying dormant, which he definitely wants to exploit with us. He has consistently attracted attention with his goalscoring ability and his style of play. He fits in perfectly with our style of play.”
What the player hopes for, he emphasizes: “First of all, I’m very happy about the move to Talentwerk. VfL Bochum stands for great and professional training. I want to develop further here and take the next step in my career. I’m very proud to be able to wear the blue and white jersey from the summer and to play for VfL from next season. “
