U21s announce preparation plan and 14 additions

Training kick-off in Paderborn: New coach Daniel Brinkmann welcomed 14 new players to the U21 training kick-off for the 2024/2025 regional league season.

Eight youngsters from the club’s own U19s will join SC Paderborn’s Regionalliga youth team. In addition, the U21s are strengthening with six new external signings, including three experienced players from league rivals SC Wiedenbrück.

Eight players will move from the U19 team to the Regionalliga team for the 2024/2025 season. With Jens Balzukart (goal), Luis Flörke, Tom Wulf, David Stamm and Milan Hoffmeister (all defense) as well as Georg Ermolaev, Travis de Jong and Kevin Gleissner (all forward), SC Paderborn II once again documents the permeability between the zero-seven academy and swn professionals. De Jong, Gleissner, Stamm and Ermolaev already collected their first minutes in the Regionalliga West last season.

In addition, SC Paderborn II strengthens the team with the experience of almost 250 regional league appearances. From SC Wiedenbrück, defenders Maik Amedick (78 Regionalliga games) and Tim Böhmer (91) as well as midfielder Dominique Domröse (66) are coming to the Pader. In addition, midfielders Julius Bugenhagen (MSV Duisburg), Jeremy Aydogan (Rot Weiss Ahlen, 13 regional league appearances) and Max Ritter (Sportfreunde Lotte) are in the new U21 squad.

The U21s’ objective for the 2024/2025 regional league season is clear. The newly assembled team should secure relegation as early as possible in order to continue to form an optimal foundation for the professionals. “With the new squad, we feel we are very well positioned to achieve our common goals, including the individual development of our talented players,” emphasized Ayhan Tumani, Sporting Director of the youth training center (NLZ).
