U23 loses test match against Großkreutz and Co.

In a test match played in camera, Borussia Dortmund’s U23s lost 0:1 to TuS Bövinghausen in the top division on Tuesday evening.

Borussia Dortmund II has not had a particularly successful start to the 2022/2023 third division season. One win, one draw and three defeats are on the books after five matchdays. On Tuesday evening, coach Christian Preußer gave the second team a chance to present itself. But the substitutes did not make the most of their opportunity.

In a closed-door test, the third-division team lost 0:1 to TuS Bövinghausen, with Kaniwar Uzun scoring the goal at the BVB training ground in Brackel.

“That was a cheerful test match. It went up and down. Both teams mixed it up a lot and spared their best players. Kevin Großkreutz, for example, only played a few minutes for us,” Ajan Dzaferovski told RevierSport.

The TuS boss added: “But we won against a third league team. The boys who played have the ambition to play in the 3rd league. It’s the same with our boys. They all want to play at least in the first division. This gave everyone who had played less recently a chance to show what they can do. Both coaches will draw their conclusions from this good test match. “

Perfect start for Bövinghausen

TuS Bövinghausen have made a perfect start to the 2022/2023 Oberliga Westfalen season as promoted teams. Lotte and ASC were defeated. On Saturday (6pm) TuS Ennepetal will come to Dortmund-Bövinghausen. “We also had the necessary bit of luck in the first two games. But you also need that if you want to play a successful season. If it continues like this, we can be on top at the end. But there is still a very long way to go until then and we remain humble,” explains Dzafervoski.
