Ultras Gelsenkirchen are continuing a tradition at their home game against SpVgg Fürth. The whole thing is for a good cause.
Ultras Gelsenkirchen are continuing a tradition at their home game against SpVgg Fürth on Saturday (1:30 p.m., RS live ticker).
This year, there will once again be a Nordkurve calendar. The fan organization has now announced this. In recent years, the calendar, which always features images from the fan scene, has enjoyed increasing popularity among FC Schalke 04 supporters. This is likely to be the case again this year.
The 2025 Nordkurve calendar will be available for purchase for the first time at the S04 home game against Fürth. “The new calendar can be purchased as usual at the UGE information stand or directly at the entrance to the Nordkurve. The price for the calendar is again €4.00 + €6.00 minimum donation,” explained the “UGE.”
What makes the calendar campaign special is that it always supports social institutions. For example, for many years now, fans have been visiting the St. Josephs children’s home in Gelsenkirchen before Christmas to give Christmas presents to the children who live there. This will also be the case again this year.
However, there are also plans to implement other projects. “This year, the donations will be used to extend the existing support for the food bank in Gelsenkirchen. The newly launched project to support primary schools in Gelsenkirchen will be expanded and more school exercise books will be distributed. The children at the children’s home will receive the gifts they have asked for on their wish lists, as is tradition at Christmas, and the facility will be supported in purchasing urgently needed outdoor blinds for its extension. In addition, homework assistance for St. Josef will be extended,” say the Ultras, listing a whole series of measures to be supported with the proceeds from the Nordkurve calendar.
A total of three quarters of the proceeds will be used for this purpose. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will be used to stage choreographed displays such as the one performed before the 0-1 defeat in Hanover.
In addition to on-site sales, which will now take place at all home games of the Royal Blues until the winter break, the calendar can also be ordered online at nk-kalender.help-gelsen.de. However, based on previous experience, there may be delays in shipping. So if you want to be sure to have the calendar on your wall or under the Christmas tree in time for Christmas, you should take advantage of the on-site sale or order early.
